What is Auto-Pilot?

Auto-Pilot is OpsScaleIQ's fully automated response publishing feature available on Growth and Enterprise plans. When enabled, it bypasses the manual review step for high-star reviews and posts an AI-drafted response directly to Google Business Profile — no human action required.

Auto-Pilot is designed for reviews that are low-risk to respond to automatically: 4-star and 5-star reviews from satisfied customers. You retain full control over the star threshold and tone, and all responses are logged and visible in your Reviews feed.

Auto-Pilot never publishes to reviews that have been manually flagged, escalated (Severity 1 or 2), or marked as CCPA-sensitive.

Enabling & Configuring Auto-Pilot

1

Navigate to Settings → AI

In your OpsScaleIQ dashboard, open Settings from the sidebar and select the AI tab.

2

Toggle Auto-Pilot On

Find the Auto-Pilot panel and click the toggle switch. A disclaimer modal will appear.

3

Acknowledge the Disclaimer

Read the Auto-Pilot disclaimer carefully — it confirms you understand that responses will be published automatically to Google. Click "I Understand, Enable Auto-Pilot" to proceed.

4

Set Star Threshold

Choose whether Auto-Pilot activates for "4 & 5 stars" or "5 stars only". Lower thresholds mean more automation; higher thresholds mean fewer but safer auto-responses.

5

Choose Response Tone

Select Professional, Friendly, or Concise. This tone applies to all Auto-Pilot responses across all locations. You can change it at any time.

6

Save Settings

Click "Save Auto-Pilot Settings". Changes take effect on the next review that arrives meeting your threshold.

How Auto-Pilot Works

When a new review arrives that meets your star threshold:

  1. 1The AI triage pipeline categorizes the review as it normally would.
  2. 2The AI drafts a response using your configured tone and brand voice.
  3. 3The system checks: review is not Severity 1 or 2, not CCPA-flagged, not already responded to.
  4. 4If all checks pass, the response is published immediately to Google Business Profile.
  5. 5The review appears in your feed with a teal "Auto-Pilot" badge.
  6. 6You can view the published response, but it cannot be unpublished — only edited via GBP directly.

Auto-Pilot publishes responses that cannot easily be retracted. While you can edit published responses in Google Business Profile directly, the original Auto-Pilot response will already be live for reviewers to see.

Reviewing Auto-Pilot Activity

All Auto-Pilot activity is clearly marked in your OpsScaleIQ dashboard:

  • Reviews with automatically published responses show a teal "Auto-Pilot" badge in the reviews list.
  • The expanded review card displays "Auto-Pilot" inline with the response timestamp.
  • The AI tab in Settings shows your current threshold and tone configuration.
  • The response text itself is identical to what the AI drafted — there is no separate "Auto-Pilot draft" vs "manual draft" distinction.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will Auto-Pilot respond to negative reviews?

No. Auto-Pilot only activates for reviews meeting your star threshold (4★+ or 5★). Lower-star reviews always require manual action.

What if a customer posts a 5-star review with a complaint hidden in the text?

The AI triage system reads the full review text, not just the star rating. Reviews categorized as Severity 1 or 2 are exempted from Auto-Pilot even if they have high star ratings.

Can I use Auto-Pilot for specific locations only?

Auto-Pilot is currently an org-wide setting — when enabled, it applies to all locations in your organization. Per-location control is on the Enterprise roadmap.

Can I change the tone after enabling Auto-Pilot?

Yes, you can update the tone at any time in Settings → AI. The new tone will apply to all future Auto-Pilot responses.

Is Auto-Pilot available on Essential or Lite plans?

No. Auto-Pilot is a Growth and Enterprise feature. Upgrade your plan in Settings → Billing to access it.
