Frequently asked questions
Is there a free trial?
Yes — the Lite plan includes a 14-day free trial. Your card is not charged until the trial ends. You can cancel at any time during the trial and owe nothing.
When am I billed?
OpsScaleIQ uses monthly billing cycles through Stripe. Your first charge (or trial start) begins when you complete checkout. Subsequent charges occur on the same calendar day each month.
How do I upgrade or change my plan?
Go to Settings → Billing in the left sidebar. Click Upgrade (or Change Plan) and select your new tier. Stripe handles proration automatically — you will only be charged the difference for the remainder of your current cycle.
What happens when I downgrade?
Your plan changes at the end of the current billing cycle. Until then, you keep your current features. When the downgrade takes effect, any locations or seats above the new plan limit will become read-only — no data is deleted. You can remove the excess and reactivate at any time.
Can I add extra seats beyond my plan limit?
Yes. On Lite, Essential, and Growth plans, you can purchase seat add-ons at $15/seat/month. Go to Settings → Team and click "Buy Seats". Seats are billed immediately on your Stripe subscription. Enterprise plans include unlimited seats.
How does SMS overage billing work?
Each plan includes a monthly SMS allowance per location (100 for Essential, 200 for Growth). If you exceed the allowance on Growth, overage is billed at $0.05/SMS on the 1st of the following month via Stripe. Essential has a hard cap — no overage charges.
What is the API Access add-on?
The API Access add-on ($299/month) enables REST API access to your OpsScaleIQ data. It is available on Growth and Enterprise plans. Enable it in Settings → API. See /developers for API documentation.
How do I download invoices?
Stripe sends an invoice receipt to your billing email automatically after each payment. You can also access past invoices from Settings → Billing → Billing History, which links directly to your Stripe customer portal.
How do I cancel?
Go to Settings → Billing and click Cancel Subscription. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. After cancellation your account moves to a read-only Lite state — your data is retained for 90 days.
What is multi-brand / multi-org access?
Growth and Enterprise plans allow a single account owner to manage multiple separate organisations (e.g. different restaurant brands or franchise groups) from one login. Each organisation has its own locations, members, and billing.
Is Yelp integration available on all plans?
Yelp review pulling via the Yelp Fusion API is available on Growth and Enterprise plans only. Google Business Profile and TripAdvisor are available on all plans.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data (reviews, tasks, alerts, playbooks, team history) is stored for 90 days after cancellation. If you resubscribe within that window, everything is restored. After 90 days, data is permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
